Cozy Mittens, slippers and little bags, felted and fashioned from wool sweaters. Oven mitts, quill garlands and puppet nativity scenes. Needle felted mice, garlands, gnomes and wool quillies
My Mom taught me to use her little Singer featherweight portable sewing machine before I started school and I have loved, yes needed, to sew ever since!
It delights me to take something discarded and transform it into something useful and beautiful. I also love working with wool so for now my focus is on reusing wool sweaters and blankets as my fabric of choice to make mittens and other stitched items. Needle felting has also captured my interest, so I have added whimsical mice to my list of stuff to offer.
