Held on the first weekend of November, the Christmas in Paris Artisan Show & Sale is one of the County of Brant's signature events and marks the beginning of the festive season for many. Paris warmly welcomes thousands of visitors who are eager to purchase unique one-of-a-kind, handmade gifts.
The Annual Juried show displays the work of local area artists and crafters who are all members of the Kindred Spirits Artisans of Paris.
Our artists and crafters include Lynda Anderson, Sheila Bordignon, Ally Bryant, Jennifer Budd, Susan Cunningham, Heather Davidson, Patricia Eelkema, Ruth Di Carmine, Melissa Generoux, Rita Guiducci, Robyn Innes, Rachelle McCann, Suzette Logan, Rachel Lyon, Barbara MacDonald, Lorie McCreary, Helena Potvin, Wanda Schultz-Poole, Wendy Read, Jana Skladan, Lee Anne Stewart, Debra Vincze, Kevin Weir, Sylvia Wight-Holder, Valerie Wilson, Anka Zeitler.
Their unique talents range from creating pottery pieces, fabric and yarn art pieces, felted art and wearables, chalk art, mixed media, watercolour, acrylic, and pastel paintings in all shapes and sizes, fused glass, beaded, gemstone and Swarovski jewellery, soap products, silk scarves, brooches and pillows etched in thread, and original wood turnings among many other offerings. Many items are themed for the holiday season, including a variety of wreaths, tree decorations and door ornaments. A selection of delicious baked goods and preserves is also available and very popular - these sell out fast!
In 2022, the highly-anticipated event will be held from November 4, 5 and 6 at the Paris Fairgrounds (139 Silver St. Paris,ON).
Annually our $2 admission provides art bursaries for local high school students and we would like to encourage any additional good will donations at the door.
COVID Procedures - We will be adhering to Ontario government guidelines. Currently all participants (shoppers, volunteers and vendors) attending Christmas in Paris 2022 will need to be fully vaccinated (two doses plus 14 days) and will need to show their proof of vaccinations (vaccine certificate) along with photo ID, prior to entry.
Individuals who cannot receive the vaccine due to medical exemptions will be permitted entry with a verified doctor’s note along with photo ID until recognized medical exemptions can be integrated as part of a digital vaccine certificate – this certificate must then be shown, with photo ID.
Children who are 11 years of age and younger and unable to be vaccinated will also be exempted from these requirements.
Mandatory face coverings for ages two and older will apply at all times indoors, and social distancing is encouraged as much as possible.
