Inside every tree are countless hidden treasures. This is now my passion, to reveal the bowls, boxes, platters and other objects that are waiting to be uncovered in our beautiful local hardwoods. I spent most of my career in consumer products marketing. But these days I find wood turning more relaxing and rewarding. My wood collection stretches back more than 30 years. Sometimes it’s difficult to part with a piece that has been with me for so long. But a greater reward is finding a new owner for a 200-year-old walnut salad bowl.
