My artistic evolution to this day has been filled with the constant of being creative. At the age of 7, making Barbie clothes set my journey winding through the crafts of sewing, knitting and felting. Feeding a love of fabrics including wools, linens, cottons and now finally, the most luxurious, SILK. Taking a simple silk dying course in 2014, I fell in love with the Art of Silk Painting. Painting on Silk is centuries old and predates writing on paper. Using various weights of 100% silk, dyes penetrate the silk fabric, and are steamed to set the dyes for permanency and long life. My Silk creations include scarves, clothes, purses, wall art and lamps. All hand painted using 100% Silk. Creating silk products has been a wonderful addition to my many other activities including; baking Susan’s' Best Buttertarts, Curling, Golf, a mother of three grown children and an equally busy husband. Life is good!
