I have always considered myself an artist and have dabbled in several mediums before settling on embroidery during graduate school. The slow, delicate nature of embroidery invited me to slow down and focus on life in the moment. Embroidery has a long, celebrated history and the craft continues to evolve with each new artist’s influence and creativity. My art combines traditional embroidery techniques with different textiles, beads, wool, and paints. I create embroideries in a variety of sizes, from larger art and décor pieces in embroidery hoops or stretched on canvas to micro-embroideries for necklaces to create wearable art.
