Stained Glass
I started my journey with stained glass in 2000. My instruction was received from various studios in the Elora, Kitchener-Waterloo and Stratford area. All of my stained glass collections are handcrafted using the time honoured materials and methods of Louis Tiffany at my home studio located in Wellesley, Ontario.. This technique allows for detailed design with definitive outlines for depth and optical clarity.
My work is inspired by Canadian nature, prisms of perfect colour and the deceptively delicate appearance of pollinators that work magic in my garden and beyond sustaining us all. I was drawn to this form of expression as the properties of glass with its varied colours and textures allow for dynamic pieces or art where the passage of seasons and shifting light produce living works that replicate nature.
